thanks for the info/reminder of the -r and -dsn options.

Not many examples out on google land for blat and I was not able to find an
option for the following workflow.

Send from address1
replies can go to address2
dsn to address3

I assume the -r/dsn will go to either the sender addy1 or reply addy2. I
will do some testing to confirm.

Is there a means of having the dsn info sent to a different email address?
I assume I can set up some email rules on the receiving emial box so if it
is a dsn response then we can auto-forward those to a 3rd address.

Reason for this sort of workflow is we want to send out from one address
but customers to reply to a secondary address if there are
questions/issues/concerns but have the blat results sent to a 3rd address
where we can monitor for account management and determine if someone just
has their 'away from email' or out of office type of response vs a bounce
and if they read the message or it is sitting there so if we need someone
to respond before Thursday for feedback on Saturday

Then we can verify we sent the message okay, it arrived okay just they
didnt read it so we may need to call them to ensure they are okay to help
on the weekend

They received it, read it but didnt respond - then not interested in
helping out on the weekend or forgot

It arrived and was deleted without reading - maybe they don't want to
volunteer but too polite to ask to be removed from the list lol.

I assume the answer is "no" and all dsn's go to the "reply to" address and
if it is not specified then it goes to the "sender" address?

Sorry just the documentation is a bit sparse for such an awesome tool!

thanks
chris

I searched through various RFCs about Delivery Status Notifications, and I found no way to specify a third email address for return receipts. RFC 3461 is the most current document for this email feature.
