This is a text file I have saved named "message.txt" I
created in the working directory. (the directory I'm calling blat from)

Re: A request by ***@yahoo.com for a blat command line syntax example.

I am using the following command line command to send this file without using any profiles defined by a blat -install...

blat message.txt -to ***@yahoogroups.com -from ***@yahoo.com -subject "Testing Blat Command Line" -server smtp.mail.yahoo.com -user qevan -pw mypassword

Man, I know I have to be doing something wrong but I
keep getting "whateverfile.txt" does not exist. I have
blat in c:\blat\ folder.
So I run from a c:\ prompt: blat\blat whateverfile.txt
then the switches and get whateverfile "does not
exist". The file is in the blat folder so this is in
the "directory" I am running blat from correct? Woe is
me, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help by the way,

Thanks for the help by the way,
the word "directory" is the same as "folder"
They were called directories for decades before they were
called folders.

Anyway if both your blat executible and the whatever.txt file
are in c:\blat and you're typing the command when the 'root
folder' is the current folder... (at the C:\ prompt) then the
appropriate command line would be something like

blat\blat blat\whatever.txt -to ***@domain.com -from
***@yourdomain.com -subject "Your Email Subject Line"
-server your.smtp.server.address.com -u username -pw password

Of course you could always "change directory" to the c:\blat
folder first with the command line command

cd \blat

and then enter the command without the pathing information..

blat whatever.txt -to ***@domain.com -from
***@yourdomain.com -subject "Your Email Subject Line"
-server your.smtp.server.address.com -u username -pw password
