Blat and smtp server problems

We are trying to email notifications from our backups outside the DMZ
to a public folder.

There are two different notifications that do this so there should be
two emails, but only one is working even though they both use the
same command line except for a change in the subject info. We have
this running on servers that are NOT inside the DMZ and it works
fine, both emails sending.

Does ANYONE know what could be locked down on the smtp server that
would stop one of the emails from sending. This is the blat logfile
that is created:

Sending stdin.txt to ***@here.com
Subject:Savegroup Completion
Login name is ***@here.com

Try number 1 of 3.
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).Message not accepted by server
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).
Try number 2 of 3.
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).Message not accepted by server
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).
Try number 3 of 3.
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).Message not accepted by server
Error: Wait a bit (possible timeout).

The mail guys are telling me there is nothing set that would hinder
it. Has anyone seen this before??

with quotes work? Like "blablabla blablabla"

The problem is the space on the subject not the quotes...
I think that it will work with or without quotes...

I have an email server 192.168.1.5, I have a user on
that mail system TheBoss.

Do I install the Blat.exe & or .DLL on the workstation
or on the mail server?

I currently have it on the Client. It gives no error
in the -install line.

When I do:
DECLARE INTEGER Send in &dll_name STRING blatstring
teststring = " f:\sbtpro\custom\cust7\crud.txt ;
-t ***@yahoo.com ;
-s Blat test from VFP ;
-base64 ;
-attach c:\temp\61417.pdf "

?teststring

result=Send(teststring)
? result

I see a result of 2? I look to the return codes and
there are 2 twos!
1) Message text doesn't exist.
2) Server Denied my connection, or the Mail server
doesn't like me. :(

What am I not doing right here?

TIA

__Stephen
